The Gault Center’s Youth Defender Leadership Summit 2025

Rather than gathering in a single location with a cap on attendance, we are reimagining our Youth Defender Leadership Summit as a virtual convening designed to ignite sparks of action across the country. Summit general sessions will be streamed virtually, followed by live strategy sessions at in-person Summit Beehives facilitated by hosts and virtual strategy sessions in virtual Summit Beehives for participants who can’t make it to an in-person location.

**Summit Registration Flash Sale**

Register for Summit between Aug 8 – Sep 15 for $250, which is 50% off the general registration fee.

You must complete the first two steps of Summit registration — pre-registration and payment — by 5pm on September 15 to take advantage of this reduced registration rate.

This year’s Summit registration is a three-step process. To register, please complete the initial process here. We will review your submission to confirm you are a youth defense professional and send a follow-up email with a link to complete the registration process. The first step of pre-registration will not require payment, but the second step, to formally reserve your spot, will require a registration fee, starting at $500.

• If the $500 registration fee would preclude you from participating in Summit, please complete the pre-registration, then email us by September 2, 2025 at summit@defendyouthrights.org with the subject line: Summit Registration Fee Reduction Request and a brief statement affirming that a fee reduction is necessary for you to participate in Summit. The reduced registration fee is $250.
• If you are a law student committed to pursuing a career in youth defense, please complete the pre-registration, then email us at summit@defendyouthrights.org with the subject line: Summit Registration Law Student and a brief statement about your interest in youth defense. The law student registration fee is $50.
• If you would like to volunteer to host a Summit Beehive, please complete the pre-registration AND the host volunteer form.

The third and final step of Summit registration will be selecting the in-person Summit Beehive or Virtual Beehive that you will attend. Additional information about Beehives will be sent to Summit registrants.

Please note that all Summit registration fees are non-refundable.
